Sweetarts
Sweetarts were created in 1962 using the same basic recipe as the already popular Pixy Stix and Lik-M-Aid (Fun Dip) products. Like a few other candies the green sweetart was originally lime flavored however was eventually changed to green apple. Sweetarts are often associated with Valentines Candy and Halloween Candy because there have been many variations on the original shape to match the holiday.
